Mobile Units
Family Health Center has two mobile units: one focused on health care, and one providing dental services. Think of them as rolling doctor and dentist offices. They help FHC reach underserved individuals, especially children and families, who aren’t near or can’t get to a bricks-and-mortar clinic. The units regularly serve students at Kalamazoo Public Schools, Parchment School District, Comstock Public Schools, Paramount Academy and Kalamazoo Covenant Academy.
Mobile Health Clinic
The Mobile Health Clinic offers physicals, immunizations, well-child visits, and check-ups for illnesses, chronic conditions and non-emergency care. The unit has three exam rooms, a check-in and waiting area, modern medical gear and a staff of health care professionals.
Mobile Dental Unit
The Mobile Dental Unit offers preventive (dental assessment, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants), diagnostic (exam, X-rays), restorative care, and limited emergency services. The unit has two fully equipped dental treatment rooms and a staff of licensed dental professionals.
